Research states that a healthy Mother-Daughter connection:

At this event, we will explore critical issue impacting girls and their mothers: healthy body image, self-esteem, leadership, advocacy and decision making.Put your cell phone and laptop away.  Join us for an enriching experience spent renewing and revitalizing one of life's most meaningful connections - the mother daughter relationship.  This powerful bond is fragile and needs opportunities to grow.  Share time together in a fun, safe and interactive environment. Connect with your daughter's capabilities and beauty.  Empower your daughter with confidence and self belief.  Believe in the relationship you and your daughter share.  Invest in your daughter's emotional, physical and social well being.This event will inspire mothers and daughters to connect with each other, empower themselves and believe in their potential.  Disconnect from technology and spend a day reconnecting.

 

*Morning Keynote NBC10 anchor/reporter Dawn Timmeney

*Special guest Marilyn Russell of 95.7 Ben FM will be giving out prizes including a pair of tickets to Katherine McPhee's concert.

*Breakout training sessions for moms and girls by presenters Jen Groover, CEO of Butler Bags & Author of "What If? & Why Not?", and Kathleen Holt Whyte, Owner of Success Strategies.

*Empowerment presentation by authors Vikki Carrel & Shelley Ashby of Two Balance Inc. www.2balanceinc.com 

*Live performance by singer/songwriter/musician Christy Jefferson.

*Question & answer session with experts Karen Richter, owner of of Cohesive Outcomes, Tia McCoun, owner of Arts-n-Sparks, and educators Robbin Danko and Christine Rick.

*Vendor display tables, community outreach projects, goody bag & autographed book by Ashby/Carrel for each girl and refreshments.

 

Half Day Sessions:  

9 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.  (Registration 9 - 9:30 a.m..  Program 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Community outreach, expert q&a and vendors 12:30 - 1:30 p.m.)

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania Service Unit #619.
